There's lots to do, if you want to get out of town. Heading west along the Transportation-Canada, you can see the massive Kakabeka Falls, called the Niagara Fall of the North.

West of there, visit the towns dotting Northern Onario's Canadian Shield, including Atikokan, Ignace, Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Fort Frances, Nester Falls, and Kenora. Most of these towns are making their living either from foresty or from tourism.

There are many accommodation options in the area, from first class hotels, to motels, beds & breakfast, long-term accommodation, wilderness lodges and camping.

Away: Travelling Out of Town

We even have lots of tips for getting away, including other countries' Online Travel Offices, links to travel guidebooks' web sites. We even have links to sites that can help you plan a honeymoon, eloped wedding, or romantic getaway. To round things out we have information about Canada & US Customs, a listing of Canadian embassies and consulates around the world, and an overview of our airport(s) and links to airports around the world (so you can check what to do during connections between flights)

Sustainable Travel & Eco-Tourism

Going Green: Eco-friendly content!

We recogize that travel inherently uses a lot of energy and a lot of resources, since it involves moving us (and our luggage) large distances around the world. Here are a number of suggestions for reducing our impact as well as our "carbon footprint".

Travel Feature

For those travelling between Canada & the US, those entering (or re-entering) the U.S.A. BY AIR are required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document. As of January 31, 2008, these rules include those entering the USA BY LAND OR SEA.
